The study concerns the conversion of a 210 sqm space on the ground floor of the historical, listed building located 3 Souri street, into the new reception and all day cafe area of IN[N]ATHENS hotel. The design is based on the combination of the exhisting minimal and rough aesthetics of the hotel, with the luxurious atmosphere of the old European Grand Cafes of the Middle war period.

The basic interior design principals are strict geometry and natural materials but with a twist of a warmer, mix&match approach, inspired by the architectural rythm of the building, which belongs at the eclecticism period.

The "cold" materiality of the marble, the black iron elements, the white walls and the concrete details are mixed with the warmth of dark wood, the oxidized perforated metal and the tobacco leather.
